In particular, mass, entropy, angular momentum, electric charge, and their respective chemical potentials, temperature, horizon angular velocity, and electric potential, which appear in the laws of black hole thermodynamics, should be gauge invariant. In the usual construction of the laws of black hole thermodynamics, gauge invariance of the intensive quantities is subtle; here, we remedy this and provide a gauge invariant derivation and the proof of the zeroth and first laws of black hole thermodynamics.

Almost Periodic Solutions of Recurrently Structured Impulsive Neural Networks
Akhmet, Marat; Erim, Gülbahar (2022-01-01)
©2022 L&H Scientific Publishing, LLC. All rights reserved. The model under discussion is an elaborated recurrent impulsive neural network. This is the first time in literature that the impacts are structured completely as the original neural network, such that physical sense of impacts has been explained. Moreover, the impact part comprises all types of impacts in neural networks, which were traditionally studied in conservative models. In the research, neuron membranes with negative as well as positive capa...
Electromagnetic compatibility of electric power quality monitor according to EN 61326 standard
Yaman, Özgür; Ermiş, Muammer; Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (2007)
In this thesis; Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) of Electric Power Quality Monitor developed within the scope of National Power Quality Project has been investigated according to EN 61326 standard. Both immunity and emission tests have been carried out in EMC laboratories of ELDAS and ASELSAN for the device under test. Necessary counter measures such as using electromagnetic interference (EMI) filters and transient voltage suppressors, shielding the case of device with EMI protective materials have been ...
Comparison of Efficiency of Two dc-to-ac Converters for Grid Connected Solar Applications
Ertan, Hulusi Bülent; Yilmaz, Arif (2012-05-26)
In this paper; requirements from grid connected photovoltaic (PV) converters are briefly reviewed. Traditional buck-converter, line-frequency transformer topology is taken as reference, which satisfies all of the requirements imposed by standards and the utility. However, this topology employs a bulky transformer. Furthermore, a large electrolytic capacitor is needed in this circuit, which is expensive and also limits the life of the converter. This is not desirable in modern applications where PV module st...
Qualitative and philosophical enquiry of aikido participants from different levels, conceptualization of aikido as different from other sports : mind and body perspectives
Şentuna, Barış; Korkusuz, Feza; Department of Physical Education and Sports (2010)
This thesis is made of two main parts. First main part of the thesis is based on the qualitative enquiry of twenty-three Aikido participants from different levels - beginner, intermediate, advanced- from three different dojos. Open ended questions regarding the difference of Aikido from other sports is asked to the participants. Their written responses were coded using qualitative methods. Based on coding of documents: labels, categories and themes have been generated. Second main part of this thesis is bas...
