Linear Separability Analysis for Stacked Generalization Architecture
Ozay, Mete; Vural, Fatos T. Yarman (2009-04-11)
Stacked Generalization algorithm aims to increase the individual classification performances of the classifiers by combining the information obtained from various classifiers in a multilayer architecture by either linear or nonlinear techniques. Performance of the algorithm varies depending on the application domains and the space analyses that affect the classification performances could riot be applied successfully.
Functional Size of a Real-Time System
Desharnais, Jean-Marc; Abran, Alain; Dikici, Pinar Efe; Ilis, Mert Can; Karaca, Irfan Nuri;( Abstracts: This paper presents a case study on the implementation of IFPUG FPA and COSMIC software measurement methods for a small real-time system. The two methods were applied separately to measure the functional size of the same software. The main objective of this paper is to explore, through a case study, the issue of the measurement adequacy of each measurement method to capture the functional size of real-time software. For the practitioners, the real issue is that such a 'number' represent adequately the functional size. This number should take into consideration the particularities of specific real-time software and be sensitive to small variations of functionality.; 2009-11-06)

Data-parallel programming on Helios, Parallel environment and PVM
Sener, C; Paker, Y; Kiper, A (1996-09-27)
Parallel computing, increasingly used for computationally intensive problems, requires considerable expertise and time, limiting then widespread use. This article presents a data-parallel programming tool to simplify the task of developing parallel programs based on data-parallel type. It has been originally developed for the Hellos operating system running on a network of Transputers, and then ported to the IBM SP/2 system executing two parallel programming environments. With its interface to the C languag...
