We show that the scalar-tensor theory that arises in a rigorous D→3 limit of Lovelock gravity up to cubic order admits a holographic c-theorem and verify that the value of the c-function at the UV fixed point matches with the Weyl anomaly coefficient (up to an irrelevant factor). The constructed c-function is the same as one that follows from the "naive limit,"which is obtained by scaling the couplings by a factor of 1D-3, and then setting D=3.

Geometric measures of entanglement
UYANIK, KIVANÇ; Turgut, Sadi (American Physical Society (APS), 2010-03-01)
The geometric measure of entanglement, which expresses the minimum distance to product states, has been generalized to distances to sets that remain invariant under the stochastic reducibility relation. For each such set, an associated entanglement monotone can be defined. The explicit analytical forms of these measures are obtained for bipartite entangled states. Moreover, the three-qubit case is discussed and it is argued that the distance to the W states is a new monotone.
Exact Pseudospin Symmetric Solution of the Dirac Equation for Pseudoharmonic Potential in the Presence of Tensor Potential
AYDOĞDU, OKTAY; Sever, Ramazan (Springer Science and Business Media LLC, 2010-04-01)
Under the pseudospin symmetry, we obtain exact solution of the Dirac equation for the pseudoharmonic potential in the presence of the tensor potential with arbitrary spin-orbit coupling quantum number kappa. The energy eigenvalue equation of the Dirac particles is found and the corresponding radial wave functions are presented in terms of confluent hypergeometric functions. We investigate the tensor potential dependence of the energy of the each state in the pseudospin doublet. It is shown that degeneracy b...
Pseudospin and spin symmetry in the Dirac equation with Woods-Saxon potential and tensor potential
AYDOĞDU, OKTAY; Sever, Ramazan (2010-01-01)
The Dirac equation is solved approximately for the Woods-Saxon potential and a tensor potential with the arbitrary spin-orbit coupling quantum number kappa under pseudospin and spin symmetry. The energy eigenvalues and the Dirac spinors are obtained in terms of hypergeometric functions. The energy eigenvalues are calculated numerically.
Yang-Mills solutions on Euclidean Schwarzschild space
Tekin, Bayram (2002-04-15)
We show that the apparently periodic Charap-Duff Yang-Mills "instantons" in time-compactified Euclidean Schwarzschild space are actually time independent. For these solutions, the Yang-Mills potential is constant along the time direction (no barrier) and therefore, there is no tunneling. We also demonstrate that the solutions found to date are three-dimensional monopoles and dyons. We conjecture that there are no time-dependent solutions in the Euclidean Schwarzschild background.
Magnetic Moments of 70-Plet Baryons in Quark Model and QCD Sum Rules
Alıyev, Tahmasıb (2015-01-01)
Magnetic moments of the positive parity 70-plet baryons are estimated in the framework of the nonrelativistic quark model and QCD sum rules method. It is found that the magnetic moments of the 70-plet baryons can be expressed in terms of the F and D couplings and exhibit unitary symmetry. The QCD sum rules for the magnetic moments of the 70-plet octet baryons are formulated. A comparison of our results on magnetic moments of 56-plet and 70-plet baryons predicted from QCD sum rules is presented.
