Analysis of the Junction Properties of C/GaSe0.5S0.5/C Back-to-Back Schottky-Type Photodetectors
Khanfar, Hazem K.; Qasrawi, Atef F.; Hasanlı, Nızamı (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), 2015-4)
In this paper, a C/GaSe0.5S0.5/C metal-semiconductor-metal photodetector is suggested and described. The device is explored by means of current-voltage and capacitance-voltage (C-V) characteristics under different photoexcitation intensities. It was observed that the design of the back-to-back Schottky device has reduced the dark current of the normal Ag/GaSe0.5S0.5/C Schottky diode by 13 times and increased the photosensitivity from 3.8 to similar to 2.1x10(3). The device exhibited a barrier height of 0.84...
Analysis of teleconnection patterns on climate of Northern Cyprus
Nabango, Hope Nabwire; Akıntuğ, Bertuğ; Sustainable Environment and Energy Systems (2019-9)
The complex interaction of components in the climate system has greatly contributed to uncertainty in climate patterns. Inarguably, anthropogenic factors have relentlessly increased this phenomenon. While innumerable research aimed at forecasting these interactions and their impacts on climate identify three streams of uncertainties as; model responses, external forcing factors and internal atmospheric variability, lack of knowledge on these factors have continue to challenge efficient results pertaining to...
Analysis of grain burnback and international flow in solid propellant rocket motors in 3-dimensions
Yıldırım, Cengizhan; Aksel, Mehmet Haluk; Department of Mechanical Engineering (2007)
In this thesis, Initial Value Problem of Level-set Method is applied to solid propellant combustion to find the grain burnback. For the performance prediction of the rocket motor, 0-D, 1-D or 3-D flow models are used depending on the type of thre grain configuration.

Analysis of magnesium addition, hydrogen porosity and T6 heat treatment effects on mechanical and microstructural properties of pressure die cast 7075 aluminum alloy
Alat, Ece; Kalkanlı, Ali; Department of Metallurgical and Materials Engineering (2012)
Aluminum alloys are having more attention due to their high specific stiffness and processing advantages. 7075 aluminum alloy is a wrought composition aluminum alloy in the Al-Zn-Mg-Cu series. Due to the significant addition of these alloying elements, 7075 has higher strength compared to all other aluminum alloys and effective precipitation hardenability characteristic. On the other hand, aluminum alloys have some drawbacks, which hinder the widespread application of them. One of the most commonly encounte...
