A New Method for the Identification of Non-Linearities in Vibrating Structures

In most engineering structures non-linearities are localized and determining their location can simplify the identification/modelling task considerably. The research on this problem started very recently and in this paper a new simple method is presented which can be used to find the location of structural non-linearity from sine-wave testing. A current research that is being conducted for parametric identification is also discussed briefly. A numerical case study is presented.
