Dry reforming of methane over CeO2 supported Ni, Co and Ni-Co catalysts
Ay, Hale; Üner, Deniz (2015-12-01)
Ceria supported Ni, Co monometallic and Ni-Co bimetallic catalysts were prepared by incipient wetness impregnation method, calcined at two different temperatures (700 degrees C and 900 degrees C) and tested for dry reforming of methane reaction at 700 degrees C. The activities of ceria-based Ni containing catalysts decreased with increasing calcination temperature accompanied by a decrease in coke deposition. While Ni/CeO2 and Ni-Co/CeO2 catalysts exhibited comparable high activities, Co/CeO2 catalysts exhi...
Dry grinding kinetics of binary mixtures of ceramic raw materials by Bond milling
Ipek, H; Ucbas, Y; Yekeler, M; Hoşten, Çetin (Elsevier BV, 2005-01-01)
The kinetics of batch dry grinding of binary mixtures of ceramic raw materials, namely quartz-kaolin, quartz-potassium feldspar and kaolin-potassium feldspar, from the feed sizes of -3.350 + 2.360, -2.000 + 1.400, -0.850 + 0.600, -0.500 + 0.355 and -0.300 + 0.212 mm have been determined using a Bond mill with a mixture of ball sizes of 38.10, 31.75, 25.40, 19.05 and 12.70 mm diameter and total mass of 22.648 kg. The Bond mill used was a size of 30.5 cm diameter, 30.5 cm length, with a total volume of 22,272...
Dry sliding wear behaviour of Al-Fe-Si-V alloys at elevated temperatures
Koraman, Emrah; Baydoğan, Murat; Sayilgan, Seda; Kalkanlı, Ali (2015-01-15)
High temperature strength of Al-Fe-V-Si alloys due to quaternary silicide dispersoids in their microstructures has been well documented in the literature. In those works, these materials have been shown as promising candidates to compete with titanium alloys at elevated temperatures. However, there is a lack of information on elevated temperature wear behaviour of those materials, which should be one of the main considerations at elevated temperature use. In order to contribute to this field, dry sliding we...
