There is a growing concern that human-induced climate crisis as well as ecological degradation pose a serious threat to all living things, including human and non-human species. So, adopting environmentally friendly practices in a number of contexts is essential. However, although there is an extensive literature on pro-environmental behaviors exhibiting in homes, workplaces, and touristic attractions, only a few studies have addressed predictors and outcomes of pro-environmental behaviors within university campuses. The current dissertation primarily aimed to examine predictors of on-campus pro-environmental behaviors and well-being outcomes of these behaviors. In the first study, thematic analysis demonstrated that several factors (e.g., environmentally friendly figures in family) were responsible for the formation of undergraduates' environmental attitudes and students performed a number of on-campus pro-environmental behaviors (e.g., reducing waste, attending pro-environmental activities). Second study's (N = 520) findings highlighted that universalism value and university identification positively predicted on-campus pro-environmental behaviors, and exhibiting pro-environmental behaviors in campus played a positive role in determining participants' subjective well-being. The current dissertation carries notable implications for campus sustainability by filling several gaps (e.g., examining university identification's role in campus sustainability, investigating on-campus pro-environmental behaviors and subjective well-being relationship) in the existing literature.
