Metal vibration isolators are significant in terms of isolating the vibration and shocks in the systems which require high damping isolation. This thesis study has two primary objectives. The first objective is to enhance the vibration isolation performance of previously designed passive metal vibration isolators for space launch vehicle, which exhibit high transmissibility values at high frequencies, by increasing their internal damping. The second objective is to estimate the fatigue life of the designed vibration isolators both including previously designed triple test configuration and the new concept design. The concept of adding a tuned vibration absorbers (TVAs) to the previously designed triple test structure is explored. TVAs parameters are defined, and a parametric optimization study is conducted to demonstrate the applicability of TVAs. Subsequently, the vibration isolation system is addressed, and a TVA design tailored to the identified target mode is developed. Finally, effect of TVA usage is verified by finite element analyses in ABAQUS software and vibration tests in a laboratory environment. The fatigue life estimation has performed by using ANSYS software fatigue tool. After doing modal analysis and random vibration response analysis, the fatigue life has measured with ANSYS fatigue life measurement feature. The obtained results show that design has enough life expentancy value in terms of fatigue.
