The burgeoning field of User Experience (UX) has garnered considerable attention from professionals and organizations across various domains, owing to the expanding array of roles it offers in recent years. Due to its interdisciplinary nature and the absence of established undergraduate programs, UX professionals come from diverse backgrounds, encompassing design, social sciences, computer science, and more. Given this context, exploring the relationship between industrial design and the UX field holds significant potential to enrich the sector for all stakeholders. This research delves into the career paths of industrial design graduates within UX-related jobs, focusing on their educational backgrounds, motivations, and the broader industry landscape in Turkey. Semi-structured interviews with 14 individuals offered insights into the dynamic interplay between industrial design and the UX field.
