Synthesis of 2-ferrocenylidene-4-cyclopentene-1,3-diones
Zora, Metin; Eralp, Tugce (Elsevier BV, 2006-10-29)
A squarate-based synthesis of 2-ferrocenylidene-4-cyclopentene-1,3-diones is described. When refluxed in dioxane at 100 degrees C, heated with silica gel as a solvent free grinded solid mixture at 125 degrees C or stirred with silica gel in ethyl acetate at room temperature, 4-ferrocenylethynyl-4-hydroxy-2-cyclobutenones, prepared from ethynylferrocene and 3-cyclobutene-1,2-diones, afforded 2-ferrocenylidene-4-cyclopentene-1,3-diones as the major or single product of the reaction. In some cases, ferrocenyl ...
Synthesis of Monitoring Rules with STL
Aydin, Sertac Kagan; Aydın Göl, Ebru (World Scientific Pub Co Pte Lt, 2020-09-01)
Online monitoring is essential to enhance the reliability for various systems including cyber-physical systems and Web services. During online monitoring, the system traces are checked against monitoring rules in real time to detect deviations from normal behaviors. In general, the rules are defined as boundary conditions by the experts of the monitored system. This work studies the problem of synthesizing online monitoring rules in the form of temporal logic formulas in an automated way. The monitoring rul...
Synthesis of 1,4-Thiazepines
Kelgokmen, Yılmaz; Zora, Metin (American Chemical Society (ACS), 2018-08-03)
An efficient, general, and unprecedented methodology for the synthesis of 2-methylene-2,3-dihydro-1,4-thiazepines from N-propargylic beta-enaminones is described. Initially, N-propargylic beta-enaminones were thionated with Lawesson's reagent in good to high yields, and then the resulting N-propargylic beta-enaminothiones were subjected to electrophilic cyclization. When treated with zinc chloride in refluxing chloroform, Npropargylic beta-enaminothiones underwent electrophilic cyclization to yield 2-methyl...
Synthesis of 3-azabicyclo[3.3.0]octane framework and a novel tricyclicaminoether
Kaniskan, HU; Doğan, Özdemir (Informa UK Limited, 2003-01-01)
The efficient synthesis of 3-azabicyclo[3.3.0]octane derivative 1 and a novel tricyclicaminoether 11 has been achieved in seven steps using commercially available starting materials and commonly used reagents. The key steps are the intramolecular ring opening of epoxide 7 providing tricyclic aminoalcohol 3 and Baeyer-Villiger oxidation of ketone 8 providing the corresponding lactone 2. Both reactions proceeded regiospecifically.
