ON GENERALIZED LOCAL SYMMETRIES OF THE SO(2,1) INVARIANT NONLINEAR SIGMA-MODEL
BASKAL, S; ERIS, A; SATIR, A (1994-12-19)
The symmetries and associated conservation laws of the SO(2,1) invariant non-linear sigma model equations in 1+1 dimensions are investigated. An infinite family of generalized local symmetries is presented and the uniqueness of these solutions is discussed.

On Multi-Dimensional and Noisy Quadratic Signaling Games and Affine Equilibria
Sarıtaş, Serkan; Gezici, Sinan (2015-01-01)
This study investigates extensions of the quadratic cheap talk and signaling game problem, which has been introduced in the economics literature. Two main contributions of this study are the extension of Crawford and Sobel's cheap talk formulation to multi-dimensional sources, and the extension to noisy channel setups as a signaling game problem. We show that, in the presence of misalignment, the quantized nature of all equilibrium policies holds for any scalar random source. It is shown that for multi-dime...
On the generalized multivariate Gumbel distribution
Demirhan, Haydar; Kalaylıoğlu Akyıldız, Zeynep Işıl (2015-08-01)
In this article, main characteristics, marginal, joint, and conditional inferences of a generalized multivariate Gumbel model are derived, and random vector generation is described. Distribution of the sum where summands come from a bivariate generalized multivariate Gumbel distribution is derived.
On some classes of semi-discrete darboux integrable equations
Bilen, Ergün; Zheltukhın, Kostyantyn; Department of Mathematics (2017)
In this thesis we consider Darboux integrable semi-discrete hyperbolic equations of the form $t_{1x} = f(t,t_{1}, t_{x}), \frac{\partial f}{\partial t_{x}} \neq 0.$ We use the notion of characteristic Lie ring for a classification problem based on dimensions of characteristic $x$- and $n$-rings. Let $A = (a_{ij})_{N\times N}$ be a $N\times N$ matrix. We also consider semi-discrete hyperbolic equations of exponential type $u_{1,x}^{i} - u_{x}^{i} = e^{\sum a_{ij}^{+}u_{1}^{j} + \sum a_{ij}^{-}u^{j}}, i,j = 1...
