In this study, the building materials used in the construction of Surp Yerrortutyun Armenian Church in Sivrihisar, Eskişehir, one of the three largest churches in Anatolia, were analyzed in terms of Archaeometric aspects. Stone, brick/tile, mortar, plaster, pigment, black layer on stone and metals sampled during the fieldwork at the Sivrihisar Armenian Church were examined and documented by physical, petrographical and various chemical analyses. With the Archaeometric analyses, the historical building materials that make up the church were identified, material problems and sources were tried to be identified and a scientific basis was tried to be prepared for restoration approaches that would not contradict the original condition of the building. Petrographic and chemical studies revealed that the stones sampled from the building are monzonite, limestone, marble and travertine. All the brick/tile samples sampled from the masonry rubble fillings are original. Repair mortars and plasters are composed of lime/cement and lime/clay/cement. The original/repair mortar and plaster samples have lime/clay, lime/gypsum, lime/clay/gypsum, and lime/clasy/cement type binders. The colors of the pigment samples on the plaster of the church were documented by chromametric (CIE L*a*b color system) analysis and their chemical structures were documented by M-XRF analysis. In the thesis study, the documentation of the structural and decorative materials of the church, the original materials and repair practices were handled. In addition, the historical importance of the church, its common features with similar buildings, the historical development of Anatolian Armenian churches and the importance, in terms of Christianity were mentioned in detail.
