A Portable stereo-video streaming system
Zerman, Emin; Akar, Gözde; Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (2013)
In the last decade, 3D technologies have made a great advancement in reaching the end users. Many of the cutting-edge technology had the opportunity to reach the customers. With the increase in popularity of mobile electronics and the new mobile 3D multimedia displaying methods, the mobile 3D became a very important multimedia factor in the last decade. This thesis presents an implementation of real-time stereo-video capture, compression, and wireless streaming from embedded platforms to mobile devices, as ...
A Reconfigurable Microfluidic Transmitarray Unit Cell
Erdil, Emre; Topalli, Kagan; Zorlu, Ozge; Toral, Taylan; YILDIRIM, ENDER; KÜLAH, HALUK; Aydın Çivi, Hatice Özlem (2013-04-12)
This paper presents a novel microfluidics based approach to develop a reconfigurable circularly polarized transmitarray unit cell. The unit cell comprises double layer nested split ring slots formed as microfluidic channels that can be filled by fluids. Split regions in the slots are realized by injecting liquid metal into the channels. Beam steering is obtained by implementing rotational phase shifting via manipulating the liquid metal in the slots. X-band unit cell prototypes are fabricated on glass subst...
A Digitally Controlled FM MEMS Gyroscope System
Yeşil, Ferhat; Akın, Tayfun; Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (2023-1-24)
This dissertation presents a digitally controlled high performance FM MEMS gyroscope system with improved short and long term stability for tactical and near navigation grade applications. The digital gyroscope system has a number of advantages such as simplified electronic hardware, small size, low power, and increased flexibility with software programming for easy configuration for different operation conditions, real-time advanced calibration, and extensive testability. The system is implemented with a l...
