In this thesis, the buffet prediction of a supercritical OAT15A airfoil geometry at transonic speeds is presented. Steady and unsteady Computational Fluid Dynamics analyses are conducted for the simulation of the buffet phenomenon. For the steady analyses, RANS is utilized with k-ω SST, Spalart-Allmaras and RSM turbulence models. For the unsteady analyses, URANS, DDES and IDDES simulations are performed with the same turbulence models. The objective is to predict the buffet onset and the frequency in 2D flow. Experimental results are used for the validation of the outcomes. For the validation study, symetric and subsonic NACA 0012 airfoil geometry is used.
