Tracking non-ellipsoidal extended objects using sequential Monte- Carlo
Kara, Süleyman Fatih; Özkan, Emre; Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (2018)
The problem of extended target tracking is considered in which the target extent is represented with multiple ellipses. The resulting inference problem, which is considered in the sequential Monte Carlo (SMC) framework, includes association of the measurements between sub-objects. We make use of different particle filtering approaches to solve the aforementioned association problem under the assumption of known extent. When the extent is unknown, parameters of the multiple ellipses should also be estimated....
Tracking in WiMAX Networks depending on SCORE measurements
Bshara, Mussa; Orguner, Umut; Gustafsson, Fredrik; Van Biesen, Leo (2009-03-19)
Tracking in WiMAX networks is gaining a lot of interest; especially after the mobile WiMAX became one of the emerging technologies that promote low-cost deployment and evolving to provide IP-based services of high mobility including providing location-based services (LBS). Therefore, locating users in a cheap way that depend on the available network resources is becoming more and more interesting and an active topic for researchers. In this paper we consider the problem of tracking in WiMAX networks depend...
Tracking Reported Vehicles in Traffic Management and Information System using Intelligent Junctions
Elci, Atilla; RAHNAMA, BEHNAM; Amintabar, Amirhasan (2010-05-01)
This study highlights a security scenario involving vehicles in a Traffic Management and Information System (TMIS) network. TMIS and its nodal architecture, nicknamed Intelligent Junction (IJ), are summarized from our recent work. System design sets an example to a software architecture implementing autonomous semantic agents through semantic web services, junction-based sensor networks, local- and wide-area networking through wire/wireless integrated communication infrastructure. It is so construed as to p...
Tracking of multiple ground targets in clutter with interacting multiple model estimator
Korkmaz, Yusuf; Baykal, Buyurman; Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (2013)
In this thesis study, single target tracking algorithms including IMM-PDA and IMM-IPDA algorithms; Optimal approaches in multitarget tracking including IMM-JPDA, IMM-IJPDA and IMM-JIPDA algorithms and an example of Linear Multi-target approaches in multitarget tracking including IMM-LMIPDA algorithm have been studied and implemented in MATLAB for comparison. Simulations were carried out in various realistic test scenarios including single target tracking, tracking of multiple targets moving in convoy fashio...
