The purpose of this research is to investigate the descriptive and methodological characteristics of the articles published between 2011 and 2023 on refugee and immigrant children in early childhood education settings in Türkiye and published in the journals indexed in the five databases (SSCI, SCOPUS, ESCI, ERIC or ULAKBIM). In accordance with the purpose, the current research designed as a systematic literature review. The research sample consisted of a total of 70 scientific articles that met the specified criteria. Content analysis method was used in the analysis of the articles and the articles were analyzed in terms of their descriptive and methodological characteristics with the prepared code book. It was found that the highest number of studies on the subject were conducted in 2021, 2022 and 2023, and the most studied field by researchers was "education". It has been seen that a significant part of the research is qualitative research, and the most common type of research is phenomenological research. When the main findings of the studies included in the sample were examined, it was seen that the most common findings were related to the problems experienced during the early childhood education process of immigrant and refugee children and strategies developed by the teachers. It was also concluded the most common problem was language barrier and communication problems in the main findings of the articles. Suggestions are presented for stakeholders involved in the early childhood education process of immigrant and refugee children in Türkiye and for further research.
