High yielding varieties (HYV) of wheat were i n t r o d u c e d into T u r k i s h a g r i c u l t u r e in 1967. The objectives of this paper are, first . to determine how the functional distribution of income in the wheat growing areas of Turkey was affected by the introduction of HYV's and, s e c o n d , to test the hypothesis that the technological change (i.e., HYV's) was of an induced nature.
