This study aimed at investigating college experiences of the undergraduate students and academics before and after Covid-19. To this end, a qualitative phenomenological study was carried out. In-depth interviews were conducted with 32 academics and 55 undergraduate students from nine departments at the Faculty of Arts and Science, who were selected by purposeful sampling and maximum variation sampling strategies. The data was analyzed by interpretive analysis. The findings of the study shed light into the effects of Covid-19 on academic and nonacademic college experiences and provided implications for future practice and research. Both academic and nonacademic college experiences were significantly affected by Covid-19. Being caught unprepared for online learning, the university struggled to cope with that shift in terms of instructional practices. Due to the lack of interaction with the faculty and their peers/colleagues as well as adequate technological equipment and infrastructure, the students and academics had difficulty in managing online learning. Besides that, university atmosphere was affected dramatically. Interrupting the cultural transfer from seniors to freshmen and depriving the students from the campus life, the interaction out of class and extracurricular activities, online learning caused the loss of collective consciousness and sense of belongingness to the departments and the university. As a result, the views of the students and academics regarding the nature of the university changed due to online learning.
