Growth of spinodal instabilities in nuclear matter
Yılmaz, Osman; ACAR, FERİDE PINAR; GÖKALP, AHMET (2015-01-12)
Early growth of density fluctuations of nuclear matter in the spinodal region is investigated employing the stochastic mean-field approach. In contrast to the earlier treatments in which only collective modes were included in the calculations, in the present work noncollective modes are also included, thus providing a complete treatment of the density correlation functions. Calculations are carried out for symmetric matter in a nonrelativistic framework using a semiclassical approximation.
GROWTH OF IN1-XTLXSB A NEW INFRARED MATERIAL, BY LOW-PRESSURE METALORGANIC CHEMICAL-VAPOR-DEPOSITION
CHOI, YH; Beşikci, Cengiz; SUDHARSANAN, R; RAZEGHI, M (AIP Publishing, 1993-07-19)
We report the growth of In1-xTlxSb, a new III-V alloy for long-wavelength infrared detector applications, by low-pressure metalorganic chemical vapor deposition. In1-xTlxSb with good surface morphology was obtained on both GaAs and InSb substrates at a growth temperature of 455-degrees-C. X-ray diffraction measurements showed resolved peaks of In1-xTlxSb and InSb films. Infrared absorption spectrum of In1-xTlxSb showed a shift toward lower energies compared to InSb spectrum. Hall mobility data on In1-xTlxSb...
Growth of spinodal instabilities in nuclear matter. II. Asymmetric matter
ACAR, FERİDE PINAR; Ayik, S.; Yılmaz, Osman; GÖKALP, AHMET (2015-09-11)
As an extension of our previous work, the growth of density fluctuations in the spinodal region of charge asymmetric nuclear matter is investigated in the basis of the stochastic mean-field approach in the nonrelativistic framework. A complete treatment of density correlation functions is presented by including collective modes and noncollective modes.
Development of oxalate cements with dead-burned magnesia and calcium sulfoaluminate clinker
Bilmez, Said Batuhan; Erdoğan, Sinan Turhan; Department of Civil Engineering (2023-1-25)
An emerging alternative to Portland cement, oxalate cement is a promising candidate for reducing the carbon footprint of the construction industry. Oxalic acid (OA) can be produced via direct electrochemical CO2 reduction, making carbon-neutral cement with OA possible. This study investigates the development of the mechanical, mineralogical, and microstructural properties of clay oxalate cement (COC) made with OA salt and dead-burned magnesia (DBM). Methods to prepare clay oxalate (CO), the OA salt used in ...
