This paper investigates the levels of tech- nological capabilities in the Turkish textile sector. on the basis of a "firııı" sample. It argues that the level of technological capabilities in the sector aıe quite high. and this is the maiıı factor which can ex- plain the recent export success of the Turkish textiles sector.
