Ahmet N. Eraslan was born in Ankara in 1955. He completed his undergraduate education at Gazi University, Department of Chemical Engineering in 1979. He received his master's degree from METU Chemical Engineering Department in 1984. He completed his doctorate in Chemical Engineering at Iowa State University in 1987. He served as an assistant professor at METU Department of Engineering Sciences between 1988-2004. He became an associate professor in 2004 and a professor in 2009. Prof., who was the Deputy Head of the Department of Engineering Sciences for a while. Eraslan was a visiting researcher at Vienna Technical University. He gave lectures at METU Northern Cyprus Campus. Ahmet N. Eraslan, who works especially in the field of computational mechanics and advises many master's and doctoral theses, is the author of many scientific articles and has contributed to the training of many faculty members at different universities.
