Hale Göktürk

Hale Göktürk was born in Bolu in 1949. He earned his bachelor's degree from METU Department of Chemistry in 1967, ranking first in the department. He received his master's degree in 1972 and his doctorate degree in 1980. He worked on projects such as nuclear spectroscopy, storage of nuclear residues, investigation of retention mechanisms of radioisotopes in various clay and soil samples, investigation of stone degradation mechanisms in monuments and development of recommendations for conservation. USA between 1974-1975. He was an assistant at Vanderbilt University, a researcher at CEN/SCK in Belgium between 1978-1980, and a visiting researcher at Studsvik, Sweden, between 1984-1985.
