Mehmet Mete Bulut was born in 1956. He graduated from Ankara Science High School in 1974. He completed his undergraduate education at METU Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering in 1979. He received his master's and doctorate degrees from the same department. He has worked as a faculty member at METU Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering since 1987. He served as Deputy Head of Department for a while. He made significant contributions to the development of the department, especially the computer option, at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
