They suggested that a factory could be established for the production of x-ray film and photographic paper, which are in short supply in Turkey, in return for the money spent on importing x-ray film every year. The studies initiated by Ural Akbulut, Associate Professor of the Chemistry Faculty of the Middle East Technical University, continue, and the studies carried out by two master's students, İlhan Kayalıdere and Kadir Karbina, and Assoc. Prof. Ural Akbulut on the production of x-ray film and photographic paper since September have yielded results. Akbulut and his friends have succeeded in producing the first domestic photographic paper and x-ray film. They even printed the films of our great savior Atatürk on the first photographic papers.
