The Department of Aviation Engineering has been established at Middle East Technical University and classes in this department will begin with a ceremony to be held at 10:00 on Monday. According to the statement by the METU Public Relations and Publications Directorate, Department Head Prof. Dr. Cahit Çıray and Vice President Prof. Dr. Mehmet Kıcıman will give speeches at the ceremony in the Faculty of Architecture amphitheater. According to the program, TUSAŞ Operations Department Head Yavuz Kansu will give the first lecture on "Aviation in the Turks" and then the department's laboratories will be toured.
