The shallow water research vessel named "Kuğu", which was built in the Middle East Technical University Gend Repair Workshops, was sent to Gölcük Shipyard from Ankara by land yesterday. The vessel, which was built with the efforts of the Middle East Technical University Marine Sciences Department, was designed by the university and department officials together with the METU control engineer. The 12-meter-long and 3.5-meter-wide "Kuğu" has all kinds of modern instruments and devices that can conduct shallow water research.
