Invariant subspaces of positive operators on riesz spaces and observations on cd0(K)-spaces
Çağlar, Mert; Ercan, Zafer; Department of Mathematics (2005)
The present work consists of two main parts. In the first part, invariant subspaces of positive operators or operator families on locally convex solid Riesz spaces are examined. The concept of a weakly-quasinilpotent operator on a locally convex solid Riesz space has been introduced and several results that are known for a single operator on Banach lattices have been generalized to families of positive or close-to-them operators on these spaces. In the second part, the so-called generalized Alexandroff dupl...
Isomorphisms of l-Köthe spaces
Karapınar, Erdal; Yurdakul, Murat Hayrettin; Department of Mathematics (2004)
In this thesis, we study on l-Köthe spaces. By the help of interpolation theory, we use linear topological invariants to get isomorphisms of Cartesian products of l-power series spaces. We also see that multirectangular n-equivalent characteristics is linear toplogical invariant for power l-Köthe spaces of first type.
Some finite-dimensional backward shift-invariant subspaces in the ball and a related factorization problem
Alpay, D; Kaptanoglu, HT (2000-12-15)
Beurling's theorem characterizes subspaces of the Hardy space invariant under the forward-shift operator in terms of inner functions. In this Note we consider the case where the ball replaces the open unit desk and the reproducing kernel Hilbert space with reproducing kernel 1/(1-Sigma (N)(1) a(j)w(j)*) replaces the Hardy space. We give explicit formulas which generalize Blaschke products in the case of spaces of finite codimension. (C) 2000 Academie des sciences/Editions scientifiques et medicales Elsevier...

ON GENERALIZED LOCAL SYMMETRIES OF THE SO(2,1) INVARIANT NONLINEAR SIGMA-MODEL
BASKAL, S; ERIS, A; SATIR, A (1994-12-19)
The symmetries and associated conservation laws of the SO(2,1) invariant non-linear sigma model equations in 1+1 dimensions are investigated. An infinite family of generalized local symmetries is presented and the uniqueness of these solutions is discussed.
