Aim: The present study aimed at investigating general thoughts and expectations of people living in a rest home, tovvards the institution and its personnel, through a qualitative study. Method: For this purpose 7 open-ended questions were raised to 8 randomly selected people from a rest home. Information were gathered about how much they knew about the institution and its personnel, what kind of vvorkforce they would request, their desires about work force's age average, their general expectations, and their satisfaction and dissatisfaction about the institution. Results: Throughout the interviews participants frequently emphasized Hotel Management, and Health and Social Services. The intervievvs indicated that participants generally knew the personnel and their role definitions; and besides satisfaction of their basic needs they require to have warm and genuine relationships with the personnel and they also want their thoughts to be considered.
