Both nations envisage substantialbenefits from this collaboration, encompassingeconomic investments, technologicalexchanges, and geopolitical leverage. China’sheavy investments in Iran underscore its commitmentto bolstering economic ties and securingaccess to resources, while Iran stands to gaintechnological advancements and infrastructuraldevelopment. However, the implementation of this agreementencounters a labyrinth of challenges. Amidst these challenges, the Iranian government adopts a positivestance, recognizing the strategic significance ofthis partnership. Yet, within academic circles inIran, concerns and apprehensions reverberate, reflecting nuanced perspectives and raisingcritical questions regarding the agreement’slong-term implications. With all these factors inmind, this article is intended to give the readersa succinct overview of Sino-Iranian relations, then proceed to focus on various facets of thisagreement, finally, this study will try to presentthis agreement as a balancing act of China andIran through a comprehensive analysis of its underlyingrationale, benefits, challenges, and nuancedstakeholder perspectives.
