Strong transitions of decuplet to octet baryons and pseudoscalar mesons
Alıyev, Tahmasıb; Savcı, Mustafa (Elsevier BV, 2010-12-01)
The strong coupling constants of light pseudoscalar pi, K and eta mesons with decuplet-oclet baryons are studied within light cone QCD sum rules, where SU(3)(f) symmetry breaking effects are taken into account It is shown that all coupling constants under the consideration are described by only one universal function even if SU(3)(f) symmetry breaking effects are considered. Nuclear dissipative dynamics in langevin approach
Tanrıverdi, Vedat; Gökalp, Ahmet; Department of Physics (2004)
In this thesis Langevin approach is applied to analyze the nuclear dissipative dynamics in fission and fusion reactions. In these investigations, the nuclear elongation coordinate and the corresponding momentum are chosen as collective variables. By considering changes in these variables the decay rate of fission and the formation probability of fusion for heavy ion reactions are calculated. These calculations are performed using simulation techniques and the results thus obtained are compared with the corr...
THE RARE DECAY B-]K-STAR-GAMMA IN THE STANDARD AND IN SUPERSYMMETRIC MODELS

Two Higgs doublet model and lepton polarization in the B -> K tau(+)tau(-) decay
Alıyev, Tahmasıb; Savcı, Mustafa; Özpineci, Altuğ (IOP Publishing, 1998-01-01)
The decay width, forward-backward asymmetry and tau lepton longitudinal and transversal polarization for the exclusive B --> K tau(+)tau(-) decay in a two Higgs doubler model are computed. It is shown that the forward-backward asymmetry and longitudinal polarization of the tau lepton are very effective tools for establishing near physics.
Measurement of the inclusive isolated prompt photon cross-section in pp collisions at root s=7 TeV using 35 pb(-1) of ATLAS data
Aad, G.; et. al. (Elsevier BV, 2011-12-06)
A measurement of the differential cross-section for the inclusive production of isolated prompt photons in pp collisions at a center-of-mass energy root s = 7 TeV is presented. The measurement covers the pseudorapidity ranges vertical bar eta vertical bar < 1.37 and 1.52 <= vertical bar eta vertical bar < 2.37 in the transverse energy range 45 <= E-T < 400 GeV. The results are based on an integrated luminosity of 35 pb(-1), collected with the ATLAS detector at the LHC. The yields of the signal photons are m...
