METU students go swimming in Lake Eymir when classes are available in the summer heat

When we planned to go on a picnic to Lake Eymir on weekends, our first priority was to convince our friend with a camera to come, then divide our supplies among ourselves. The Lake Eymir facilities weren't particularly well-stocked. There were tea, water, coffee, and some amenities for the rowers who came to train. Our friends would bring 45-rpm records and/or cassette players, and we'd dance to them. If it was summer and training was over, we'd go swimming. Since the lake was swampy, it was recommended to swim without touching the bottom if possible. (Notes by Hüseyin Kabahasanoğlu)
