Hezbollah is a game-changer regional actor involved in major conflicts across the Middle East. This study will examine Hezbollah’s regional role, especially after the October 7 attack by Hamas on Israel. Hezbollah’s stance against Israel, through intervention in the Israel-Hamas War and escalating tensions via cross-border shelling, cyber-attacks, and assassinations, has raised questions about the extent to which its regional role has changed. By centering the reciprocal attacks and damages taken after October 7, Hezbollah’s regional role as part of the Axis of Resistance will be emphasized. Hezbollah’s response to Iran-Israel tensions and its effectiveness during the period that led to the fall of Bashar Al-Assad’s government will also be analyzed by comparing Hezbollah’s decision to intervene in the Syrian conflict in 2011.
