Study of thin film poly-crystalline CdTe solar cells presenting high acceptor concentrations achieved by in-situ arsenic doping
Kartopu, G.; Oklobia, O.; Turkay, D.; Diercks, D. R.; Gorman, B. P.; Barrioz, V.; Campbell, S.; Major, J. D.; Al Turkestani, M. K.; Yerci, Selçuk; Barnes, T. M.; Beattie, N. S.; Zoppi, G.; Jones, S.; Irvine, S. J. C. (2019-06-01)
Doping of CdTe using Group-V elements (As, P, and Sb) has gained interest in pursuit of increasing the cell voltage of CdTe thin film solar devices. Studies on bulk CdTe crystals have shown that much higher acceptor concentration than the traditional copper treatment is possible with As, P or Sb, enabled by high process temperature and/or rapid thermal quenching under Cd overpressure. We report a comprehensive study on in-situ As doping of poly-crystalline CdTe solar cells by MOCVD, whereby high acceptor de...

Study on the properties of crosslinking of poly(ethylene oxide) and hydroxyapatite-poly(ethylene oxide) composite
Banat, R; Tincer, T (2003-10-10)
This study covers the crosslinking of poly-(ethylene oxide) (PEO) and its composite with calcium hydroxyapatite (HA), their mechanical and swelling properties, and morphology. Sheets of the composites of PEO (two different grades with M-v: 5x10(6) and 2x10(5)) and HA and neat PEO were prepared by compression molding. The prepared composite. and. PEO (0.1-mm-thick) sheets were crosslinked with exposure of UV-irradiation in the presence of a photoinitiator, acetophenone (AP). This simple method for crosslinki...
Study on the electrical properties of ZnSe/Si heterojunction diode
Gullu, H. H.; Bayrakli, O.; Yildiz, D. E.; Parlak, Mehmet (2017-12-01)
ZnSe thin film is e-beam evaporated on monocrystalline p-Si to fabricate n-ZnSe/p-Si heterojunction. The electrical properties were investigated by current-voltage (I-V), capacitance-voltage (C-V) and conductance-voltage (G/w-V) measurements. The forward bias I-V characteristics were analyzed in the temperature range of 220-360 K. The fabricated diode structure exhibited rectifying characteristics with a two order rectification ratio. The current transport in the junction was modeled by the modification of ...
Study on the long wavelength SiGe/Si heterojunction internal photoemission infrared photodetectors
Aslan, B; Turan, Raşit; Liu, HC (Elsevier BV, 2005-10-01)
The theory of internal photoemission in semiconductor heterojunctions has been investigated and the existing model has been extended by incorporating the effect of different effective masses in the active region and the substrate, nonspherical-nonparabolic bands, and the energy loss per collision. Photoresponse measurements on Si1-xGex/Si heterojunction internal photoemission (HIP) infrared photodetectors (IP) have shown that they are fit well by the theory. Qualitative model describing the mechanisms of ph...
