This study aims to examine the discourses of young adult women who experienced abuse during childhood and psychosomatic symptoms in adulthood within a psychoanalytic and qualitative framework. The study evaluates how childhood abuse experiences and current psychosomatic symptoms appear in discourse and the similarities and differences between these experiences from a Lacanian discourse analysis perspective. In this regard, semi-structured interviews were conducted with seven participants. The analysis of the interviews was conducted in line with the identified analytical focuses: the anchoring of representations, unspoken points, the relationship with the Other, deadlock perspectives, and agency. The findings were discussed in the context of psychoanalytic theory and clinical practice, and implications for future research were presented.
