1970s, Cafeteria building and campus transportation route view

Cafeteria services at our university initially began in temporary barracks. Construction of the current cafeteria building started in 1962, and the first unit opened in 1965. Designed by architect Behruz Çinici, the kitchen was planned to meet the needs of the time with a capacity of 3500 people. As the campus grew, the kitchen infrastructure was improved, and the first à la carte counters opened in 1970. With the addition of a new block in 1972, the cafeteria building reached 7277 square meters.
