A software for analysis and design optimization of switched reluctance motor
Yalçıner, Levent Burak; Ertan, Hulusi Bülent; Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (2004)
In this study, development of software, which can analyze and optimize an SRM by accurately calculating its performance, is aimed. Existing methods in the literature are investigated. Some studies for the calculation of performance use 2D field solutions and are known to be accurate; however, using field solutions is not feasible for the optimization purpose. So, a method based on a set of normalized permeance and force data are chosen for prediction of magnetizing characteristics. Selected methods are prog...
A Software for analysis of permanent magnet AC motors
Bulgan, Deniz; Ertan, Hulusi Bülent; Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (2014)
Nowadays permanent magnet motors became very popular in almost every area of industry such as automotive, aerospace and automation due to having higher efficiency, better torque-speed characteristics, longer life, higher dynamic response, higher torque per volume when compared to brushed DC and induction motors. These advantages made PM motors very essential and the need of design and analysis of PM motors became more important with the need of specialized applications. In this thesis, a previously develope...
A software for simulation and controller development for high frequency high voltage power supplies
Ertan, Hulusi Bülent; Demirel, O (2000-08-18)
This paper describes a software developed for the simulation of high voltage (up to 125 kV), high frequency power supply for radiology equipment. The main components of the power supply are an AC-DC conversion stage, a high frequency inverter feeding a resonant load. The resonant load is the impedance reflected to the inverter side of the, high voltage high frequency transformer Seeding the X-ray tube. The software has modules for each of the components of the converter mentioned above, which can be modifie...
A Novel Software for Automatic Calibration Factor Measurement of RF Power Sensors
Kizilbey, Oguzhan; Arslan, Murat; Bayrak, Yusuf; Çetinkaya, Anıl; Yugruk, Aydin; Danaci, Erkan (2022-01-01)
In this letter, a software for calibration factor (CF) measurement of radio frequency (RF) power sensors (PS) by using VNA-based direct comparison transfer method (VBDCTM) was developed on C# platform. Measurements were performed between 10 MHz and 18 GHz frequency range. When the calibration factors calculated with conventional CF measurement method and novel software were compared, a maximum difference of 4.56% was found in the 10 MHz - 18 GHz frequency band. Therefore, the automatic CF measurement softwa...
