Investigation of one dimensional longitudinal stress waves in bars

Investigation of non-quarter wave design on multilayer optical thin film coatings from a heat transfer point of view
OCAK, Mustafa; Sert, Cüneyt; Okutucu, Tuba O. (2013-09-25)
Investigation of Planar Barrier Discharges for Coherent Nonlinear Structures
Uzun Kaymak, İlker Ümit (2016-09-09)
Nonlinear pattern formations are ubiquitous in nature. One of the analogous configurations in laboratory experiments to such nonlinear systems is the current filament formations observed in glow plasmas. These filaments can generate oscillatory fluctuations in glow, which are also observed in voltage and current measurements. Specifically, semiconductor-gas discharges are known to breed these types of current filaments naturally. The plasma discharge is initiated by applying a DC high voltage to electrodes ...
Investigation of structural properties of metal nanorods: molecular dynamics simulations
Yağlı, Hüseyin; Erkoç, Şakir; Yazıcıoğlu, Yiğit; Department of Micro and Nanotechnology (2014)
After recent advances in microscopy and characterization techniques reached smaller length scales down to individual atoms, nanowires attracted a large interest. The material properties that are not changeable in bulk materials can be controlled in nanowires to fit the requirements of the intended application area. Characterization of nanowires is important in order to establish a reproducible relationship with their characteristics and their desired functionality. In this thesis, structural properties of c...
Investigation of traps distribution in GaS single crystals by thermally stimulated current measurements
Delice, S.; Isik, M.; Hasanlı, Nızamı (2021-04-01)
Thermally stimulated current (TSC) investigations of p-GaS (gallium sulfide) single crystals grown by Bridgman method were achieved by virtue of consecutive experiments carried out at various heating rates in between 0.4 and 1.0 K/s in the temperature range of 10-280 K. One single TSC peak around 148 K and overlapped, incomplete peaks in the end limit temperature of the experiments were observed in the spectrum recorded at constant heating rate of 1.0 K/s. Individual peak was analyzed utilizing curve fittin...
