Relative consistency of projective reconstructions obtained from the same image pair
Otlu, Burcak; Atalay, Mustafa Ümit; Hassanpour, Reza (World Scientific Pub Co Pte Lt, 2006-08-01)
This study obtains projective reconstructions of an object or a scene from its image pair and measures relative consistency of these projective reconstructions. 3D points are estimated from an image pair using projective and epipolar geometry. Two measures are presented for verification of projective reconstructions with each other. These measures are based on the equality of ratios between the x-, y- and z-coordinates of 3D reconstructed points which are obtained from the same corresponding points. This in...
Relative topology of real algebraic varieties in their complexifications
Ozan, Yıldıray (Mathematical Sciences Publishers, 2004-12-01)
We investigate, for a given smooth closed manifold M, the existence of an algebraic model X for M (i.e., a nonsingular real algebraic variety diffeomorphic to M) such that some nonsingular projective complexification i:X-->X-C of X admits a retraction r:X-C-->X. If such an X exists, we show that M must be formal in the sense of Sullivan's minimal models, and that all rational Massey products on M are trivial.
Relative Modification of Prompt psi(2S) and J/psi Yields from pp to PbPb Collisions at root(S)(NN)=5.02 TeV
Sirunyan, A. M.; et. al. (2017-04-01)
The relative modification of the prompt psi(2S) and J/psi yields from pp to PbPb collisions, at the center-of- mass energy of 5.02 TeV per nucleon pair, is presented. The analysis is based on pp and PbPb data samples collected by the CMS experiment at the LHC in 2015, corresponding to integrated luminosities of 28.0 pb(-1) and 464 mu b(-1), respectively. The double ratio of measured yields of prompt charmonia reconstructed through their decays into muon pairs,(N-psi(2S)/N J/psi )(PbPb)/(N-psi((2S))/N (J/psi...
Relative importance of college success predictors: fluid intelligence, crystallized intelligence, and grit.
Mete, İpek; Toker Gültaş, Yonca (UNIV POLITECNICA VALENCIA, CAMINO VERA S-N, VALENCIA, 46022, SPAIN; 2017-06-22)
The series of HEAd conferences have become a leading forum for researchers and practitioners to exchange ideas, experiences and research results relating to the preparation of students and the organization of higher educational systems. The third edition (HEAd’17) was held in Valencia, Spain during 21-23 June 2017. This preface gives an overview of the aims, objectives and scope of HEAd’17, as well as the main contents of the scientific program and the process followed to select them.
RELATIVE EFFECTS OF TRUST AND SERVICE QUALITY ASSESMENTS ON PERCEPTIONS OF RELATIONSHIP QUALITY IN INTERFIRM RELATIONS IN THE CONTEXT OF CONVENTIONAL DISTRIBUTION CHANNELS
Akyüz Yılmaz, Cansu; Yılmaz, Cengiz (2017-04-28)
This paper attempts to shed light on the role of trust and service quality on relationship quality. Building long-term and high quality inter-firm relationships is imperative for efficient and effective management of disribution channels. The study focuses on the relative effects of two critical factors on assessments of relationship quality in conventional distribution channels, namely, perceived service quality of the exchange partner and degree of -affective and cognitive-trust placed in the exchange par...
