Changes in abundance and biomass of Synechococcus were studied during five cruises carried out between November 2004 and September 2005 in the Iskenderun Bay, northeastern Mediterranean. In addition, spatial and temporal variations in physico-chemical factors and Chl a were measured. In this study, spatial and temporal distributions of three gelatinous macrozooplankton, the scyphozoan Aurelia aurita and the ctenophores Pleurobrachia pileus and Mnemiopsis leidyi, were evaluated using the data obtained from seven southern Black Sea cruises carried out from 1996 to 1999.
