Student and school level factors in victimization of middle school students : an ecological perspective
Atik, Gökhan; Güneri, Oya; Department of Educational Sciences (2013)
This study aimed to investigate the role of student- and school-level factors that contribute to the likelihood of being peer victim and bully victim by comparing them with non-victim. The sample of the study consisted of 1557 (832 males, 725 females) middle school students from 16 different schools in Ankara. The data collection instruments of the study were; Demographic Data Form, California Bully Victimization Scale (CBVS; Felix, Sharkey, Green, Furlong, & Tanigawa, 2011), School Climate Survey (SCS; Emm...

Konuralp, Özge; Kalaycıoğlu, Hediye Sibel; Department of Social Policy (2016)

Beyond youth participation researches conducted with young people living in urban areas, I decided to conduct the research in Mardin/South-ea...
High haze nature of textured Al:ZnO with Ag nanoparticles for light management in thin film solar cells
Nasser, Hisham; Ozkol, Engin; Bek, Alpan; Turan, Raşit (2015-05-01)
We report on fabrication of plasmonic interfaces consisting of Ag nanoparticles on flat and textured Al:ZnO for use at the front surface of thin film solar cells to enhance light trapping and photo-conversion efficiencies. We show that outstandingly high transmittance haze is achieved from single step HCl surface textured Al:ZnO and demonstrate Ag dewetting on textured and flat Al:ZnO surfaces upon annealing at moderate temperatures. Optical response of these plasmonic interfaces clearly display plasmonic r...
Symbol space and meaning in hittite architecture
Onurlu, Sema; Güven, Suna Naziyet; Department of History of Architecture (2004)
The importance of the Hittites derives from the fact that they were an organized central power extending over a large territory within which a number of societies maintained their language, culture and traditions. The archaeological findings of Hattusha, the Hittite capital reveal that the city had reached its maximum limits during the Great Kingdom period and the most magnificient and monumental buildings of the city are dated to this period. Yazilikaya, the open air sanctuary which reached to its final fo...
