Analysis of the Junction Properties of C/GaSe0.5S0.5/C Back-to-Back Schottky-Type Photodetectors
Khanfar, Hazem K.; Qasrawi, Atef F.; Hasanlı, Nızamı (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), 2015-4)
In this paper, a C/GaSe0.5S0.5/C metal-semiconductor-metal photodetector is suggested and described. The device is explored by means of current-voltage and capacitance-voltage (C-V) characteristics under different photoexcitation intensities. It was observed that the design of the back-to-back Schottky device has reduced the dark current of the normal Ag/GaSe0.5S0.5/C Schottky diode by 13 times and increased the photosensitivity from 3.8 to similar to 2.1x10(3). The device exhibited a barrier height of 0.84...
Analysis of conventional low voltage power line communication methods for automatic meter reading and the classification and experimental verification of noise types for low voltage power line communication network
Danışman, Batuhan; Sevaioğlu, Osman; Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (2009)
In this thesis, the conventional low voltage power line communication methods is investigated in the axis of automated meter reading applications and the classification and experimental verification of common noise types for low voltage power line communication network. The investigated system provides the real time transmission of electricity consumption data recorded by electricity meters, initially to a local computer via a low voltage line through a low speed PLC (Power Line Carrier) environment and sub...
Analysis and comparison of the contrast enhancement techniques for infrared images
Turan, Arif Ergün; Akar, Gözde; Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (2012)
Today, infrared cameras are used especially for target tracking and surveillance operations. However, they have a high dynamic range output, and the standard display devices cannot handle them. In order to show them on common devices, the dynamic range is cropped. Thus, the contrast of the image is reduced. This is called as the High Dynamic Range (HDR) Compression. Although several algorithms have been proposed for preserving details during the HDR compression process, it cannot be used to enhance the loca...
Analysis of flow signatures and catchment similarity indices for catchment classification in yesilirmak basin
Soyugür, Batuhan; Yılmaz, Koray K.; Department of Geological Engineering (2019)
Catchment classification schemes aim to identify groups of hydrologically similar catchments to enable a mapping between catchment physical characteristics and hydro-climatic conditions with the catchment functioning. This mapping, together with the quantified uncertainties, potentially facilitates improved process understanding, transfer of this understanding to ungauged catchments, model parameter regionalization and hence improve operational applications and watershed management. Although many studies fo...
