Development of Random Amplified Polymorphic DNA (RAPD) markers in 150 F-6-inbred durum wheat (Triticum durum) lines derived from Kunduru-1149 x Cham-1 cross
Göçmen, Birşen; Kaya, Zeki (2003-01-01)
Random Amplified Polymorphic DNA (RAPD) markers were developed in a specific durum wheat population (150 lines) derived from Kunduru-1149 x Chain-1 cross. Of 284 RAPD primers screened against parent DNAs, 83 revealed at least one polymorphic locus. The most polymorphic and clear bands producing 13 primers were selected and screened with the DNAs of 150 lines. These 13 primers revealed a total number of 33 segregating loci. The preliminary results of this study could be used as a base for mapping economicall...
Identification of Physical Helicopter Models Using Subspace Identification
Avcioglu, Sevil; Kutay, Ali Türker; Leblebicioğlu, Mehmet Kemal (2020-04-01)
Subspace identification is a powerful tool due to its well-understood techniques based on linear algebra (orthogonal projections and intersections of subspaces) and numerical methods like singular value decomposition. However, the state space model matrices, which are obtained from conventional subspace identification algorithms, are not necessarily associated with the physical states. This can be an important deficiency when physical parameter estimation is essential. This holds for the area of helicopter ...
The trigger system of the CHORUS experiment
van Beuzekom, MG; et. al. (1999-05-21)
A new apparatus for detection of nu(mu) --> nu(tau) oscillation has been successfully constructed and operated by the CHORUS Collaboration for the CERN-WA95 experiment. The design, implementation and performance of the electronic trigger system is described. A trigger efficiency of 99% was measured for nu(mu) charged-current events and 90% for neutral-current events.
Investigation of parameters affecting the drying rate of sanitary wares
Güngör, Ergin; Güngör, Ergin; Department of Metallurgical and Materials Engineering (2005)
The influence of drying parameters namely residence time before drying, drying temperature, drying time, relative humidity, and slip recipe on the drying rate of slip cast sanitary wares, predominantly lavatories and toilet closets, was studied. The drying temperatures were changed from 80 oC to 110 oC with an increment of 10 oC. The drying time was changed from 10 to 7 h with a decrease of 1 hour. Relative humidity of the environment was changed from 60 to 75 %. The percent weight loss, percent residual mo...
Design and implementation of reconfigurable transmitarray unit cells employing the element rotation method by microfluidics
Erdil, Emre; Aydın Çivi, Hatice Özlem; Topallı, Kağan; Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (2014)
This thesis presents design, fabrication and measurement of a novel, continuously tunable, circularly polarized X-band microfluidic transmitarray unit cell. To the author’s knowledge, this is the first study in the literature where a microfluidics approach is used to tune the phase of the transmitted field through the unit cell by the element rotation method. Furthermore, the generalized transmitarray design conditions necessary to utilize the element rotation method are derived. To implement the novel micr...
