Poisson integrators for Volterra lattice equations
Ergenc, T; Karasözen, Bülent (2006-06-01)
The Volterra lattice equations are completely integrable and possess bi-Hamiltonian structure. They are integrated using partitioned Lobatto IIIA-B methods which preserve the Poisson structure. Modified equations are derived for the symplectic Euler and second order Lobatto IIIA-B method. Numerical results confirm preservation of the corresponding Hamiltonians, Casimirs, quadratic and cubic integrals in the long-term with different orders of accuracy. (c) 2005 IMACS. Poisson Stability in Symmetrical Impulsive Shunting Inhibitory Cellular Neural Networks with Generalized Piecewise Constant Argument
Akhmet, Marat; Tleubergenova, Madina; Seilova, Roza; Nugayeva, Zakhira (2022-09-01)
In the paper, shunting inhibitory cellular neural networks with impulses and the generalized piecewise constant argument are under discussion. The main modeling novelty is that the impulsive part of the systems is symmetrical to the differential part. Moreover, the model depends not only on the continuous time, but also the generalized piecewise constant argument. The process is subdued to Poisson stable inputs, which cause the new type of recurrent signals. The method of included intervals, recently introd...
Symplectic and multi-symplectic methods for coupled nonlinear Schrodinger equations with periodic solutions
Aydin, A.; Karasoezen, B. (Elsevier BV, 2007-10-01)
We consider for the integration of coupled nonlinear Schrodinger equations with periodic plane wave solutions a splitting method from the class of symplectic integrators and the multi-symplectic six-point scheme which is equivalent to the Preissman scheme. The numerical experiments show that both methods preserve very well the mass, energy and momentum in long-time evolution. The local errors in the energy are computed according to the discretizations in time and space for both methods. Due to its local nat...

Perturbation-Asymptotic Series Approach for an Electromagnetic Wave Problem in an Epsilon Near Zero (ENZ) Material
Akkaya, Murat Koray; YILMAZ, ASIM EGEMEN; Kuzuoğlu, Mustafa (2022-01-01)
Electromagnetic waves present very interesting features while the permittivity of the environment approaches to zero. This property known as ENZ (Epsilon Near Zero) has been analysed with the perturbation approach-asymptotic analysis method. Wave equations have been solved by space transformation instead of phasor domain solution and the results compared. Wave equation is non-dimensionalised in order to allow asymptotic series extension. Singular perturbation theory applied to the Wave Equation and second o...
