We report a p-n heterojunction solid-state solar cell comprised of p-type CdTe that was electrochemically deposited onto hydrothermally synthesized vertically oriented arrays of n-type single crystal rutile TiO2 nanowire arrays (RNWAs). The nanowires were grown on fluorine doped tin oxide (FTO)-coated transparent conductive glass substrates by hydrothermal synthesis. An axisymmetric finite cylinder with rigid ends and a circumferential edge crack is considered in this study. The finite cylinder is under the action of uniformly distributed loads at two rigid ends. The CMS tracker consists of 206m(2) of silicon strip sensors assembled on carbon fibre composite structures and is designed for operation in the temperature range from -25 to + 25 degrees C.
