Synthesis and characterization of a new copolymer of PTSA doped polypyrrole
Levent, A.; Hacaloğlu, Jale; Toppare, Levent Kamil; Yagci, Y. (2003-04-04)
In this work poly(2-methylbutyl 2-(3-thienyl)acetate was prepared by galvanostatic polymerization of (S)-2-methylbutyl 2-(3-thienyl) acetate. Polypyrrole was electrochemically polymerized on a poly(2-methylbutyl 2-(3-thienyl)-acetate) coated anode through the thiophene moities of the matrix polymer. Direct insertion probe pyrolysis MS and Curie point pyrolysis GCMS techniques were utilized for structural and thermal characterizations.

Synthesis and Characterization of a Luminol Based Chemiluminescent Trimeric System
Kesimal, Busra; Balci, Burcu; Çakal, Deniz; Önal, Ahmet Muhtar; Cihaner, Atilla (2023-01-01)
A luminol based chemiluminescent trimeric system, namely 2,3-dihydro-5,8-di(thiophen-2-yl)phthalazine-1,4-dione (T2B-Lum), bearing thiophene rings as donor units and 2,3-dihydrophthalazine-1,4-dione as an acceptor unit was synthesized in two steps via donor-acceptor-donor approach using two different methods. It was found that T2B-Lum emits chemiluminescent light when exposed to H2O2 in a basic medium, and the presence of substituents and the type of aromatic ring bearing chemiluminescent active group have ...
Synthesis and characterization of zeolite beta
Tamer, Nadir Hakan; Yücel, Hayrettin; Department of Chemical Engineering (2006)
Zeolite beta has been synthesized using hydrothermal methods. In order to synthesize zeolite beta an aqueous gel having a molar batch composition of 2.2 Na2O Al2O3 x SiO2 4.6 (TEA)2O 444 H2O was utilized. The synthesis parameters were SiO2/Al2O3 ratio (20 ≤ x ≤ 50) and crystallization time (6 ≤ t ≤ 16 days). Pure zeolite beta was crystallized from the experiments which were performed with the batch composition having SiO2/Al2O3 of 20 and 30 in 6 to 16 days period. For SiO2/Al2O3 of 20 and 30, the highest yi...
Synthesis and characterization of water-soluble oligosalicylaldehyde-sulfanilic acid and its Cu(II), Co(II), Pb(II) complexes
Turac, Ersen; Surme, Yavuz; Sahmetlioglu, Ertugrul; Varol, Ramazan; NARİN, Ibrahim; Toppare, Levent Kamil (2008-10-05)
This work presents the synthesis and characterization of a new water-soluble oligophenol derivative, 4-(2-hydroxybenzylideneamino)benzenesulfanic acid (OSAL-SA) and its metal complexes. The chemical structure of the water-soluble polymer was characterized by nuclear magnetic resonance (H-1 NMR) and Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopies and thermogravimetric analyses (TGAs). Pb(II), Cu(II), Co(II) complexes of the polymer were also synthesized in methanol. Characterizations of water insoluble poly...
