Conducting copolymers of polytetrahydrofuran and their electrochromic properties
Unur, E; Toppare, Levent Kamil; Yagci, Y; Yilmaz, F (Wiley, 2005-03-05)
Living polytetrahydrofuran (PTHF) was terminated with sodium thiophene methonate to yield a polymer with a thiophene group at one end. Copolymerizations of PTHF with pyrrole and thiophene were achieved in water-p-toluene sulfonic acid and acetonitrile-tetrabutylammonium tetrafluoroborate (TBAFB) solvent-electrolyte couples via constant potential electrolyses. Characterizations of the samples were performed by NMR, cyclic voltammetry, FT-IR, thermal analyses, and scanning electron microscopy. Electrical cond...

Conducting copolymers of 3-methylthienyl methacrylate and p-vinylbenzyloxy poly(ethyleneoxide) and their electrochromic properties
Yildiz, HB; Kiralp, S; Toppare, Levent Kamil; Yilmaz, F; Yagci, Y; Ito, K; Senyo, T (Springer Science and Business Media LLC, 2005-01-01)
A random copolymer (CP) containing 3-methylthienyl methacrylate (MTM) and p-vinylbenzyloxy poly(ethyleneoxide) (PEO-VB) units was synthesized. Further graft copolymerization of CP with pyrrole (Py) and thiophene (Th) were achieved in H2O - sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS), H2O - p-toluenesulphonic acid (PTSA) and acetonitrile (AN) - tetrabutylammonium tetrafluoroborate (TBAFB) solvent electrolyte couples via constant potential electrolyses. Characterization was performed by cyclic voltammetry (CV), nuclear magn...
Conducting polymer composites of polypyrrole and polyindene
Bozkurt, A; Akbulut, Ural; Toppare, Levent Kamil (1996-08-30)
Polypyrrole-polyindene composites were prepared via electrochemical methods. Two different approaches were utilized. In the first, the electro-initiated polymerization of indene on a platinum electrode was achieved at 2.0 V versus Ag/Ag+ in acetonitrile. Then the polyindene-coated electrode was used for the electrochemical polymerization of pyrrole at 1.0 V versus Ag/Ag+. In the second case, electrochemical coating of platinum electrode with polypyrrole at 1.0 V versus Ag/Ag+ was carried out and indene was ...
