Enhancement and inhibition of photoluminescence in hydrogenated amorphous Silicon nitride microcavities
Serpenguzel, Ali; Aydinli, Atilla; Bek, Alpan (1997-09-01)
A Fabry-Perot microcavity is used for the enhancement and inhibition of photoluminescence in hydrogenated amorphous silicon nitride. The amplitude of the photoluminescence is enhanced 4 times, while its linewidth is reduced 8 times with respect to the bulk hydrogenated amorphous silicon nitride. The transmittance, reflectance, and absorptance spectra of the microcavity were also measured and calculated. The calculated spectra agree well with the experimental ones. Enhancement of the Thermal Energy Storage Using Heat-Pipe-Assisted Phase Change Material
Behi, Hamidreza; Behi, Mohammadreza; Ghanbarpour, Ali; Karimi, Danial; AZAD, ARYAN; Ghanbarpour, Morteza; Behnia, Masud (2021-10-01)
Usage of phase change materials' (PCMs) latent heat has been investigated as a promising method for thermal energy storage applications. However, one of the most common disadvantages of using latent heat thermal energy storage (LHTES) is the low thermal conductivity of PCMs. This issue affects the rate of energy storage (charging/discharging) in PCMs. Many researchers have proposed different methods to cope with this problem in thermal energy storage. In this paper, a tubular heat pipe as a super heat condu...

Enhancement of the 1.54 mu m Er3+ emission from quasiperiodic plasmonic arrays
Gopinath, A.; Boriskina, S. V.; Yerci, Selçuk; Li, R.; Dal Negro, L. (2010-02-15)
Periodic and Fibonacci Au nanoparticle arrays of varying interparticle separations were fabricated on light emitting Er:SiNx films using electron beam lithography. A 3.6 times enhancement of the photoluminescence (PL) intensity accompanied by a reduction in the Er3+ emission lifetime at 1.54 mu m has been observed in Fibonacci quasiperiodic arrays and explained with radiating plasmon theory. Our results are further supported by transmission measurements through the Fibonacci and periodic nanoparticle arrays...
Enhancing xcoseml with connector variability for component oriented development.
Çetinkaya, Anıl; Kaya, Muhammed Çağrı; Doğru, Ali Hikmet (null; 2017-01-17)
Based on the need for defining configurable interaction options among components, the XCOSEML language is extended with connector variability support. Extended metamodel and grammar are provided. An example system is presented for the demonstration of the extended version of the language. This research is conducted to partially enhance the default decomposition view of the Component Oriented Software Engineering Modeling Language (COSEML) towards application construction capabilities.
