Temperature dependent bandgap in NaBi(WO4)2 single crystals
Isik, M.; Hasanlı, Nızamı; Darvishov, N.H.; Bagiev, V.E. (2022-05-01)
© 2022 Elsevier GmbHThe double tungstates have been an attractive research interest due to their optoelectronic applications. In the present work, NaBi(WO4)2, one of the members of double tungstates family, was grown by Czochralski method as single crystal form and optically investigated. X-ray diffraction pattern presented three peaks associated with tetragonal scheelite crystalline structure. Optical properties of the crystal were studied by performing temperature-dependent transmission measurements betwe...
Temperature dependence of electrical properties in Cu0.5Ag0.5InSe2/Si heterostructure
Gullu, H. H.; Parlak, Mehmet (Springer Science and Business Media LLC, 2018-07-01)
The polycrystalline Cu0.5Ag0.5InSe2 thin film was deposited on mono-crystalline n-Si wafer by sequential thermal evaporation of elemental sources. p-Cu0.5Ag0.5InSe2/n-Si heterojunction diode was fabricated and the current-voltage characteristics of the diode at various temperatures were investigated to determine the main diode parameters and dark current transport mechanism. The studied diode structure showed a rectifying behavior with a barrier height of 0.63 eV at room temperature. Series and shunt resist...
Temperature dependence of the piezoelectric resonance frequency in relation to the anomalous strain near the incommensurate phase of quartz
Ates, S.; Yurtseven, Hasan Hamit (2021-01-01)
The temperature dependence of the piezoelectric resonance frequency is analyzed by the power-law formula in the vicinity of the critical temperature of the incommensurate (INC) phase in quartz using the experimental data from the literature. By considering the piezoelectric resonance frequency as an order parameter of the INC phase, correlation between the piezoelectric resonance frequency and the strain is constructed, which both decrease linearly with increasing temperature toward T-c in quartz. Our resul...
Temperature and pressure dependence of the Raman frequency shifts in anthracene
Ozdemir, H.; Yurtseven, Hasan Hamit (2016-08-01)
In this study, the Raman frequency shifts of phonons and vibrons of crystalline anthracene as functions of temperature (at zero pressure) and pressure (at ambient temperature) have-been calculated using the experimental volume data from the literature. This calculation is performed for six phonons and nine vibrons through the mode Gruneisen parameters which have been determined from the Raman frequency and volume data at various pressures. Our predicted Raman frequencies of the phonon modes decrease with in...
Temperature Dependence of Susceptibility in the Ferrielectric Phase of Ammonium Sulphate
Enginer, Y.; Salihoǧlu, S.; Yurtseven, Hasan Hamit (2003-08-01)
We have developed a mean field model for the paraelectric-ferrielectric phase transition in ammonium sulphate. In our model we assume that the quadrupolar. interactions are the dominant mechanism for this type of transition. The fit of our calculated susceptibility to the experimental data shows that the free energy, with a quadrupolar coupling term, can also adequately explain the observed behaviour of ammonium sulphate
