Spectroscopy of biological nanocrystals
Ortac, Inanc; Severcan, Feride (2007-01-01)
Nanocrystals have gained much interest in recent years, due to their unusual properties allowing interesting applications in physical and biological science. In this literature review, biological nanocrystals are discussed from the spectroscopic point of view. Firstly, the theory behind the outstanding abilities of the nanocrystals is described. Secondly, the spectroscopic properties of biological nanocrystals are mentioned. Lastly, the use of nanocrystals with various spectroscopic applications is reviewed...
Spectroscopy of the ODD-ODD nucleus 76As and its supersymmetric description
Hoyler, F.; Jolie, J.; Colvin, G.G.; Börner, H.G.; Schreckenbach, K.; Van Isacker, P.; Fettweis, P.; Göktürk, H.; Dehaes, J.C.; Casten, R.F.; Warner, D.D.; Bruce, A.M. (Elsevier BV, 1990)
Gamma rays and conversion electrons following thermal-neutron capture in 75As have been measured using the Ge pair spectrometer PN4, the bent crystal spectrometers GAMS and the β-spectrometer BILL at the ILL. Coincident γ-rays were recorded at the CEN/SCK Mol, and average resonance capture at En = 2 and 24 keV has been studied at the HFBR of BNL. The neutron binding energy in 76As was determined to be 7328.498 ± 0.075 keV. The resulting level scheme for 76As greatly improves the knowledge on this odd-odd nu...
Spectroscopy of B-c meson in a semi-relativistic quark model using the shifted large-N expansion method
Ikhdair, SM; Sever, Ramazan (2004-04-30)
We calculate the c (b) over bar mass spectrum, the splitting values and some other properties in the framework of the semirelativistic equation by applying the shifted large-N expansion technique. We use seven different central potentials together with an improved QCD-motivated interquark potentials calculated to two loops in the modified minimal-subtraction ((MS) over bar) scheme. The parameters of these potentials are fitted to generate the semirelativistic bound states of c (b) over bar quarkonium system...

Analysis of frequency diverse arrays for radar and communication applications
Çetintepe, Çağrı; Demir, Şimşek; Koç, Seyit Sencer; Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (2015)
Frequency diverse array (FDA) concept is one particular manifestation of waveform diversity, a topic which gains popularity among the research community in response to pressing demands of modern radar and communication systems such as multiple tasks, capacity and security. Introduction of a set of waveforms to the elements of an array, with slight shifts in the carrier frequencies so to establish frequency diversity, leads to far-field patterns that are remarkably different from conventional phased arrays, ...
