First record of musca domestica calleva walker, 1849 (diptera: Muscidae) from southern turkey
Bilgin, Cemal Can; Kence, Aykut (Informa UK Limited, 1995-01-01)

The zoogeographical significance of this find is briefly discussed.
First record of non-indigenous Botrylloides anceps (Herdman, 1891) species along the Turkish Levantine Coasts, Confirmed by DNA Barcoding
Temiz, Berivan; Karahan, Arzu (null; 2019-07-30)
There are nearly 3000 Ascidian species identified and they are all found in seas. However, the studies on tunicates on Turkish coasts are limited; thus, not much known about the ascidian fauna of Turkish Seas. In this study, presence of the Botrylloides anceps (Herdman, 1891) species along the Mediterranean coast of Turkey has been proven by application of DNA barcoding tool for the first time. Sampling was performed in coastal area of the Hatay-Konacık region on 26 September 2018. Mitochondrial Cytochrome ...

First record of a melanistic golden jackal (Canis aureus, Canidae) from Turkey
Ambarlı, Huseyin; Bilgin, Cemal Can (2013-05-01)
The golden jackal is a locally common mammal species widely distributed along the Black Sea and other coastal regions of Turkey. Between February 2009 and April 2010, we conducted a camera trap study in Artvin, northeastern Turkey that revealed the presence of ten medium or large mammal species. We report here the first ever photographic evidence of a melanistic golden jackal, along with its normal-colored probable mate. Dark fur color in wolves has been shown to be historically transferred from domestic do...
